David Lee Migler, 72, of Manteno, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. David was born on August 1, 1946 in Chicago, a son of the late Carney and Jennie Richter Migler. He was in the U.S. Marine Corp and then went on to work as a Steelworker. On September 2, 1967 he married Therese C. Bernier in Riverdale, Illinois. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Chicago Cubs, the Blackhawks, and the Bears. He enjoyed piracy and woodworking, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years; a son David Carney Migler; three daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Robert Ashline of Bradley, Kimberly Migler-Winter of Bourbonnais, and Christine Migler-Alsip of Gypsy; four brothers, Jim (Laurie) , Bob (Toni) , Don (Marge) , and Ray Migler; a sister, Dorothy; five grandchildren, Caleb (Michele), Samantha, Holli (Adam), Connor, and Nathanial; a great granddaughter, Addison Ann; and many nieces, nephews, and many four legged grand furbabies and a tortoise. He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Anthony Lee Winter; a sister Ceil Tomaszewski; and two brothers, Ron and Al Migler. There are no services at this time. Cremations rites will be accorded.
