Luke William Hebel

Luke William Hebel, 31, of fishers IN, formerly of Manteno, passed away September 2, 2023 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born December 19, 1991 in Kankakee, IL the son of William and Donna (Arseneau) Hebel. Luke is survived by his parents, William and Donna Hebel, his sister Lyndsay (Skylar) Conn, grandparents, Loren & Betty Scharp, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Wilbert & Joan Hebel, and Lou Arseneau, and several great aunts, uncles, 2nd cousins. It's hard to put into words what type of man Luke was. He was kind, compassionate, strong, brave, loyal, trustworthy, loving, and most importantly he was selfless! He loved the Lord with his whole heart. He truly was an embodiment of Christ. Despite the circumstances he was given, he never ever complained. Instead, he said he was blessed because it made him the man that he was. He was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Manteno. He loved spending time with his family, especially his father. They spent countless hours watching TV together and referred to each other as “Dawg”. He secretly enjoyed watching his sister's dog Ruby, but he would never admit that she was cuter than his pup, Gracie. He loved his Gracie. He always wanted to be fair to both, because that's the person he was. He loved playing video games with his friends and made it a point to become part of a Christian gaming group. He was able to connect with friends of all different kinds united by one purpose, to build relationships and share the love of Jesus. His life was full of purpose and meaning. God used him in mighty and powerful ways touching every life that he encountered. Even though we only had 31 short miraculous years with him on this earth, we know that he is in heaven, fully healed, and walking with Jesus. Although it feels like an eternity here on earth until we are reunited, we know that he is finally home with his Lord and savior and will one day welcome us with open arms when we see him again. Visitation will be held Friday September 8, 2023 from 3:00 PM until the memorial service at 7:00 PM at Brown-Jensen Funeral Home in Manteno. The Reverend Kevin Werner will officiate. Memorials may be made to family wishes.
