Gary J. Louzensky

Gary J. Louzensky, 76, of Manteno, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Riverside Medical Center. He was born on September 15, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John and Marion Louzensky. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1971, including service in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 at Da Nang Air Force Base. Following his military service, he built a dedicated career as a stationary engineer in Cook County and was a proud member of Local 399. On September 28, 1985, Gary married the love of his life, Kiki Louzensky (née Conlisk), in Brookfield, Illinois. Gary was deeply committed to supporting fellow veterans. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). As a proud supporter of the Patriot Guard Riders, he stood in honor of and escorted veterans to their final resting places or welcome home celebrations, always standing for the flag and in respect of his brothers and sisters. He was also a founding member of the American Legion Riders of Tinley Park Post 615, where he served in several roles including assistant director, road captain, and sergeant-at-arms. Gary dedicated countless hours to charitable efforts, supporting military units and raising funds for veterans’ causes, especially the Manteno Veterans Home and Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Kiki Louzensky; daughter, Jamie (Ken) Tutterow and their children, Edward, Luke, & Juliette Tutterow; daughter, Lynley Louzensky and her children, Elkay Clinton, Lyni Clinton, & Livy Louzensky-Aguilera; sons, Bryan (Shelley) Louzensky and Kevin (Jessica) Louzensky; grandchildren, Dominic Louzensky, Eziekial Louzensky, Luke Louzensky, Zoe Louzensky, Layla Louzensky, Logan Louzensky; sister, Janis Spagnola; sisters in-law, Teri (Charlie) Mazur, Jackie (Joe) Manasek, Phyllis (John) Sink, and Laura (Jeff) Sink; brother-in-law, Bill (Michelle) Conlisk; gobs of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; as well as his childhood best friend and best man, Pierce Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve Louzensky; his father- and mother-in-law, Edward and Phyllis Conlisk. Gary will be remembered for his unwavering patriotism, his dedication to his fellow veterans, and his deep love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of service, loyalty, and compassion that will not be forgotten. Cremation rites have been accorded. Gary will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1pm with a celebration of life to follow at the Manteno American Legion.
